Course Description
This practical, online short course is designed for farmworkers, farm managers, farmers and anyone working with agricultural remedies on farm who needs to understand how to handle, apply and manage these products safely and responsibly.
Once you have successfully completed the module, you will have access to the resources presented during the course, allowing you to use this knowledge to train and share information with colleagues, co-workers and peers.
- Format: Entirely online
- Cost: R400 per person, excluding VAT
- Assessment: An assessment follows each module
- Certificate: A certificate of completion will be issued upon successful completion of the required assessments.
- Validity: The certificate is valid for 3 years after which the module will need to be completed again to ensure the latest information is available.
- Participants have 3 months to complete the module.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- This course is designed as a knowledge-sharing and stewardship initiative. It is not accredited by AgriSETA or the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) and is not intended to constitute an officially accredited qualification.
- Completion of this course cannot be used as part of an application for a Pest Control Operator (PCO) licence.
The course is not the same as the former AVCASA/CropLife SA Basic Crop Protection course, nor the new Introduction to the Crop Protection Industry and Applicable Regulations course presented by CropLife SA in partnership with the Chair in Plant Health at Stellenbosch University.
